ECO317 might be the best course I've taken at UofT. The content is moderately difficult and math-heavy with no midterm. Instead you have unlimited time to work on weekly problem sets (28% of your mark) and can consult peers freely. The remainder is a term paper and open book final exam. Effort directly equals reward—I ended with 100% on problem sets and most peers had 90%+.
