Victor Falkenheim

I took POL196 in fall 2021. It's an amazing course and Prof Falkenheim is awesome. If you like to discuss/debate ideas this is your dream course. You meet once a week, and just have an open discussion for 2 hours (facilitated by prof who is kind, thoughtful, and funny). By far my favourite first year course. Prof assigns a fair amount of reading, but it's worth it for the thoughtful discussion and learning about contemporary Chinese history (1920s to today).
