Introduction to the issues of the interaction between cultural expression and political life in modern Slavic and Baltic cultures. The mutually influential relationship between artistic activity and political dynamics in modern societies is examined through literature, visual arts, drama, music, and film in Central and Eastern Europe. Taught in English, all materials in English.
