UTSGFoundations of Physics I
The first physics course in many of the Specialist and Major Programs in Physical Sciences. It provides an introduction to the concepts, approaches and tools the physicist uses to describe the physical world while laying the foundation for classical and modern mechanics. Topics include: mathematics of physics, energy, momentum, conservation laws, kinematics, dynamics, and special relativity.

I took PHY151 in first year alongside MAT137, MAT223, PSY100, and CHM136. People expect PHY151 to be bad, but I found that it was mostly a recap of high school physics, and there were a lot of opportunities for essentially free marks. The course wasn't too demanding compared to MAT137, which took up significantly more time with long problem sets. Overall, it was fine if you pay attention in class and do the assigned work.
