Real vector spaces, inner product spaces, coordinatization; linear transformations; Gram–Schmidt process; orthogonal diagonalization. Cayley-Hamilton theorem; LU and QR Factorizations. Change of basis and similar matrices; quadratic form. Complex vector space and unitarily diagonalization. Jordan form. The course emphasizes techniques and applications, particularly those relevant to the physical sciences and statistics.
