I had him for mat329 last year. He was a really chill prof, but mat329 is a really weird course that goes all over the place and touches on a really wide variety of concepts and I wasnt a big fan of the way he explained things (like the way he explained probability theory really threw me off, if I hadn't taken sta247 before and knew the content already I would've been so lost). I expect he'd do better teaching a well-structured course like 137, but I wouldn't know.
