Group actions, class formula. Cosets, Lagrange theorem. Normal subgroups, quotient groups. Classification of finitely generated abelian groups. Emphasis on examples and calculations.

The course material itself isn't inherently difficult, especially with prior number theory exposure, but the professor's unconventional teaching approach and grading method make it frustrating to navigate. As a 3rd year math student, you're already proficient with traditional learning (lectures, textbooks, problem sets), so the excessive busy work and hand-holding feels unnecessary and annoying when balancing other demanding courses.
