Introduction to Italian Cinema

This course introduces students to some of the pivotal films, photographs, artworks, and other artifacts that characterize Italy’s extensive visual culture. Through a variety of materials, which include critical texts, students explore how the notion of Italy is informed and constituted by its artistic heritage.
