Health and Sexuality

This course explores the connections between health, sexuality, and social inequalities. It begins by examining the socially constructed nature of sexuality and how this varies across time and place. Subsequent themes include masculinities and health, histories of love, reproductive health, and transnational relationships and health. Examples will be taken from a variety of countries, including in the global South, and special attention will be given to HIV/AIDS. Area of focus: People, Place and Power
