Creative Practice: Speculative Fiction

This practice-based course provides the opportunity to study and produce creative works of speculative fiction in a workshop-style seminar. In addition to fiction, this course examines multimedia works in film and television, music, animation, and the arts while providing extensive grounding in contemporary artistic contexts of publication and production. Genres studied and produced may include cyberpunk, eco-fiction, contemporary fairytale and fable, horror, historical fiction, and dystopia and utopia.
