Advanced Study in Cinema as Social and Cultural Practice

Consideration of cinema and its social relations. Past seminars include: “American Independent Film,” “Children in the Movies,” “Sub-Saharan African Cinema,” “International Film Festivals,” “Interactive Documentary,” “Graphic!," “The Revolution Will/Will Not Be Televised,” "Social Problem Films," and "Programming and Curation." Pre-enrolment balloting for 400-Level seminars will start in late May to early June, opening roughly five weeks before the July enrolment period begins.
