Open Topics in Book & Media Studies

Offered as part of the Summer Abroad Program, this course provides students the opportunity to explore book and media cultures and historical research. The exact topic will change depending on the instructor. Possible topics include but are not limited to: particular periods or areas in book and media history; histories of specific media forms or styles; histories of media representation and cultures; historical research methods and approaches; cross-cultural analysis; national, regional, or sub-cultural media; comparative histories and culture.
