System-Theoretic Accident and Risk Analysis

Provides new perspectives on safety and human error and shows how to incorporate humans in complex automated systems using systems thinking. Risk assessment of a sociotechnical system identifies hazards that can result in human, material orenvironmental losses, the likelihood of such hazardous events, and their consequences. This project-based course combines theory and practice to present a system-theoretic approach to risk assessment.
